Went to bed just after 4 am, woke up right before 7 am, and then Isabela's tummy reacted adversely to any solids or liquids taken in. The toughest part was driving home from the Hills' house. Isabela's tummy couldn't hold it in and it covered her car seat in the most intricate ways. I am seriously considering tossing her car seat in the garbage, as every crevice has been ill-fully found.
The TV station does not close on New Years Day, so Sammy had to go in this morning. Thankfully, Crystal was here to help and, in usual Crystal fashion, she was a super big sister to Bela, helping me catch any small stomach tossing and assisted in keeping Bela hydrated. Isabela's heart disease can not handle a dehydrated body. The goal today was to avoid the ER! We were pumping the BRAT formula in her and pouring water into her at any chance she let us. Fortunately, once her tummy took a long break, I was off to a nap, courtesy of Crystal again, after she stroked my hair for 5 minutes! I don't usually like naps, but today's was yummy and necessary! Speaking of yummy, this is what I found as I walked downstairs.
As we listed on our grocery store plan earlier, I had mentioned to Crystal that I wanted something sweet, but low-cal to eat. Our dessert stand (pictured) was ready for a non-holidayish dessert. This is what she and Isabela surprised me with, low-fat brownies for my nightly coffee!
Overall, I am thankful for today. I hope today's earlier events does not mean that's what we are in store for in 2009. But, if it is, then ok. There are worse things in this life than tummy aches.
