So, yesterday, Isabela and I "hurriedly" drove to Memorial Park to jog and travel through the playground. I say hurriedly because we were trying to beat the heavy rains the meteorologist said would hover over us. Isabela asked me yesterday "why does it rain?" and "what happens to the water?". Evaporation has been explained before as we have planted and watered our house plants, but she seemed especially interested this weekend. The lesson of the day was "The Water Cycle: Evaporation".
Today, we noticed the house was unusually quiet for a few minutes. We were pleasantly surprised to spot Isabela deciding to do some homework and see if the rain really came from the clouds. Very carefully, she watched the rain fall for several minutes. The window sill was a window into a wonderful sound of life...literally!
