Nothing to Fret Over

Yesterday, I presented a pic of a toddler being so responsible in cleaning her own mess without being asked to. Today, it's a different story. This pic depicts what happened when I ran upstairs for a second. Isabela loves her flaxseed and thought she would serve herself some. However, her cup runeth over....

Instead of getting upset, I looked at her, thought about how we had just come home from Texas Childrens Hospital with a WONDERFUL heart ultrasound, and said to her "go ahead and play with it, make designs, swirl it around, whatever, just please don't do that again." A concoction of grains and sugar was nothing to fret over. I will admit that I was irritated this morning because Sammy had not grounded the batch of flaxseed I left for him on the counter. At this moment, I am so glad he didn't because the act of playing with it would not be as fun and clean-up would have been harder.

Isabela, I love you and I am glad your heart is beating. Today you had a bathroom accident as we stood in line after 15 min. at the hospital's valet window. Many people watched your stream scurry down into a puddle. I wasn't upset, just thankful you can do that. Afterwards, you screamed all the way home from being so tired. I wasn't upset because I was so glad you can do that. And now, this big mess, I am not upset, so glad you can do that...and that you love being a health nut!
