On the short list yesterday was an 8hr work day for me doing my very special job at the elementary school and then straight to Sammy's sister's house for another 6 hours of cookie baking. That's it! Well, we also all went out to one of my local favorite, Mexican chain restaurant, Los Cucos. I asked Sammy's sisters if we could get together for our yearly Christmas activity and immerse Isabela and their kids in an old, Italian baking tradition. WE made our favorite, cake-like cookies - Biscottis! they are VERY labor-intensive , but very fun. All the flour! The butter! The sugar! Then there was the icing! Isabela carries very special Italian roots, so this was a priority on the Christmas Fun Checklist!

Ok, maybe a special tool like a knife, is helpful! (no worry, it's a toy knife)
Like I said, any artistic interpretation goes! Isabela decided to make one of her favorite places. She created a lake and added cheesy fish in it!

I had a BLAST with the cousins!
Then Maxwell and Isabela were done and were off to play with their 13 year old cousin, Zachary! Zach got their gear on!
