How do you judge a restaurant on your first visit? I check out their bathrooms! Yes, I look at the cleanliness, but my attention is focused on the decor. Actually, I love to look at all bathrooms...restaurants, my friends' powder rooms (bedroom ones excluded), apparel boutiques, nail places, etc. Doesn't it say a lot about the place..the owner? That's why my powder room is very plain jane...I don't want to be revealed through it. I want my visitors to find out about me along the way and keep it fun and interesting(yes, unfair!)
The pic shown is the one from Sammy's Workplace Happy Hour on Thursday. I just couldn't wait to see what the ambiance would be like that evening after walking out of the restroom! I was a bit scared, I must admit! It ended up being very casual, Downtown professional people mixed with, let's just say, alternative people..then people like me..girly girl wishing for decent wine.
But, I love that Sammy and I can hang at places like that so easily and then on another day, hang at more upscale, chic places like tonight's Hugo's Mexican restaurant (for his b-day). I do love diversity!
