Today was the last day of Isabela's 11 week swim course. She got her first ever report card on her efforts. She seemingly accomplished every goal desired from the "platypus" stage....of course! She can now float in water, but really won't attempt it unless she's let go...then she cries in fear. Nonetheless, we are moving forward and Isabela is working so hard!
Yesterday, we started with a new swim instructor. She will have one-to-one attention and the instructor is coming to the house so that Isabela can learn specific safety skills for our pool area. We hope Isabela will enjoy this. It wouldn't be a bad idea if she got to the point in which she falls in love with the sport and swims competitively. With her heart condition, there are certain activities Isabela will not ever be able to participate in...the list includes some contact sports, some dance, no gymnastics at all and no cheerleading (thank goodness!).
